As the business owner the fore you need to think of ways that will see potential customers turning into actual customers, how they will buy your products and services. Working with a customer to the point of them buying the product is not easy . There are some proven ways that you can try to incorporate in your persuasion strategies that will see your sales go up. The first thing to do as a good sales person will be to establish a common ground, get the potential customer to engage with you and you are on your way to make a sale. This is not to mean that you break your back trying to connect with everyone but the more potential customers that you get to engage with you the more sales you are going to make for sure.
Begin by engaging the customer in a conversation as there is no other way to get to know if you have common grounds or not. There could be a lot of conversation pieces around the customer which you can use to start a conversation. Once you have the attention of the customer waste no time in showing them that you have similar interests as the end goal is to make them appreciate the products you are trying to sell. Let the customer see the expert that you are when dealing with them, you do this by writing articles if you have to, portraying your mastery of the products or service through demonstration videos.
You have a unique selling position (USP) as a sales person which you should consider letting the customer know. Once you master your USP you can use it in a way that you stand out from the competition in the field. In business it’s possible to make errors and that goes for people that have been in business for long and those that are starting out .
You should not take a beating from your errors, you are better off learning from them so you make better informed decisions in the future. Go an extra mile and learn about your competition, you will be looking at area that they do well and areas that they do poorly. Invest your effort to be good at where they do poorly and in their strong points do better. Time limits can also be key in persuading people to buy your products, offering discounted rates for some time will push people to buy from you as fast as they can to avoid missing out.
